RESULTS OF TAMIL NADU STATE ELIGIBILITY TEST (TNSET) – 2024 

The Notification for Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test (TNSET) 2024 (No. 01/2024) has been published by Manonmaniam Sundaranar University on 20.03.2024. In this connection, as per the G.O. (D) No.278 Higher Education Department dt. 17.12.2024 Teachers Recruitment Board has been nominated as the nodal agency for conducting the TNSET examination based on the UGC guidelines. Examination was conducted on 06.03.2025, 07.03.2025, 08.03.2025 and 09.03.2025 by TRB for 43 subjects as approved by UGC New Delhi. Tentative answer keys for the said examination have been released by this Board on 20.03.2025.

 A total of 76,150 candidates have appeared for the examination. As per UGC the procedure and criteria for declaration of result is as follows:  6% of the candidates who appeared should be declared qualified for eligibility for Assistant Professor. These 6% candidates would be distributed among various categories as per the reservation policy of the Tamil Nadu state government.

The candidates have to secure at least 40% aggregate marks for candidates belonging to General category and at least 35% aggregate marks for candidates belonging to reserved categories will be declared qualified for step-1 stage. As per the Govt. of Tamil Nadu reservation policy, the percentage allocation of reservations are: GT (31%), BC (26.5%), BCM (3.5%), MBC/DNC (20%), SC(15%), SCA (3%), and ST (1%). As per the G.O.(MS) No.163 Higher Education (H1) Department dt. 18.07.2025 - 30% reservation for Women category, 20 %reservation for PSTM category and 4% for Persons with Disability (PWD) candidates (Horizontal Reservation in each category). The results of TNSET – 2024 have been finalized as per the guidelines of UGC, New Delhi, and reservation norms of the State.

In this connection, Teachers Recruitment Board now also releases the Final Answer keys with result for the candidates who have attended the said examination.The candidates whose Roll Numbers are given below have been qualified through the Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test (TNSET) 2024 in thier corresponding subject for Assistant Professor, subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions.
