Release of Revised Provisional Selection List for the Subjects Botany, Mathematics and Geography

 The Board had issued notification No.10/2019, dated 12.06.2019 for the Direct Recruitment for the post of Post-Graduate Assistants / Physical Education Directors Grade-I - 2018-2019. As per the said notification, Board conducted written competitive examination from 27.09.2019 to 29.09.2019 and the examination results were published on 18.10.2019 and 21.10.2019. The Board conducted certificate verification for the shortlisted candidates in 1:2 ratio on 08.11.2019 and 09.11.2019.

 The provisional selection list for the subjects Botany, Mathematics and Geography was published on 20.11.2019. After the publication of results, some of the candidates filed Writ Petitions (W.P.(MD) No. 621/2020 and others) before the Hon’ble Madurai Bench of Madras High Court challenging the Provisional Selection list published by this Board on 20.11.2019.

 The Honarabble Madurai Bench of Madras High Court allowed the Writ Petition in its Order dated 10.02.2020 in W.P.(MD) No. 621/2020. The Board filed Writ Appeal (MD) No.1058 of 2020 against the Order passed in the said Writ Petition and the same was also dismissed by the Division Bench of the Hon’ble Madurai Bench of Madras High Court on 23.12.2020.

 The Board filed SLP before the Hon’ble Apex Court (Supreme Court of India) and the Honarable Apex Court in Special Leave to Appeal (C) No(s).12927/2021 dismissed the Appeal on 27.08.2021. The Board also filed Review Petition before the Honarable Apex Court vide R.P. (C) No. 1012/2021 in SLP (C) No. 12927/2021, which was dismissed on 05.10.2021.

  Hence, the Board has decided to revise the Provisional Selection List published by this Board on 20.11.2019 for the subjects Botany, Mathematics and Geography and to implement the order delivered on 10.02.2020 by the Honarable Madurai Bench of Madras Hight Court in W.P.(MD) No. 621/2020.

  According to the above Courts order, the Board now releases the Revised Provisional Selection List for the subjects P.G. Botany, Mathematics and Geography.
