As per Notification No.03/2023 dated 25.10.2023, Teachers Recruitment Board conducted the written Competitive Examination for the Direct Recruitment of Graduate Teachers / Block Resource Teacher Educators (BRTE) on 04.02.2024. A total number of 41,485 candidates applied for the written Examination and 40,136 candidates appeared for the Written Examination.
Tentative key answers were published on 19.02.2024 in TRB official website and candidates were advised to submit their representations if any on tentative key answers through Objection Tracker along with relevant authoritative proof up to 5.30 PM on 25.02.2024.
Objections submitted by the Candidates through online only taken for scrutiny by Experts. In that, candidates who submitted the objections along with proof from the standard Text Books alone considered. Guides, Correspondence course materials and non-standard reference books were not entertained by TRB. The representation in any other form including e-mail, courier, India-post or application in person and the Representations without evidences were not entertained. All such objections were summarily rejected.
41386 objections against 619 questions in 9 subjects are received. All the representations received within the stipulated time have been thoroughly examined from 6.3.2024 to 25.4.2024 by 70 Subject Experts deputed from various Government Educational Institutions. After thorough scrutiny, revised and final answer key has been arrived by the Experts and based on that, OMR answer sheets of the candidates have been evaluated through computerized electronic process. The Subject Experts opinion is final, further representation on answer key will not be entertained by TRB.
During the computerized scanning of OMR answer sheets of the candidates, it was found that quite a number candidates committed mistakes in marking / shading the Questions Booklet series, which is essential for valuation of the OMR answer sheets. The candidates who have not either written or shaded the Question Booklet Series in their OMR answer sheets, their answer sheets could not be evaluated and hence rejected. For those who have written the Question Booklet Series but not shaded or multiple shaded, written Question Booklet Series alone has been considered for valuation. Some of the candidates committed mistakes in both writing and shading their Roll number in the OMR answer sheet. Their answer sheets were also not considered for evaluation.
The marks obtained by all the candidates who have appeared for the written examination are hereby released. PWD candidates are exempted in appearing the Part-A.
As per notification para 10 Scheme of Examination, the candidates who have scored 40% of marks (ie) 20 (out of 50) and above are the qualified candidates for Part-B. For all Part-A qualified candidates and for all the PWD candidates, Part-B results are released herewith. The Final key answer for all subjects as per Question Booklet code “A” for 1 to 180 questions and the status of objections are also hereby released.
As per the notification para 11( C ) the short listed candidates in the ratio 1: (1.25) will be called for certificate verification. The C.V. date will be intimated later along with C.V. list. The results of some candidates who have filed Writ Petitions in Honourable High Court of Chennai and Madurai are released. Such candidates if found eligible they will be called for CV based on the direction of the Honourable Court in their respective writ petition.
Utmost care has been taken in preparing the result and in publishing it. Teachers Recruitment Board reserves the right to correct any errors that may have crept in.
